Bishop’s e-Eligibility service enables software developers to extend their applications to seamlessly and electronically query and retrieve worker compensation related health claim eligibility information for a patient.
e-Eligibility is ideally suited for the patient visit to a provider for services where claim eligibility is necessary for services to be rendered. The claim information returned by e-Eligibility contains details to confidently identify the correct claim for a patient. How does e-Eligibility work?
A provider queries Bishop’s e-Eligibility service with patient information and the service returns up to five patient records with a probability index score for each returned record. The probability index score is a value from .01 to 1 where 1 indicates a 100% match. The query may be created by billing or other software used by the Provider. The query is sent over the internet to Bishop e-Eligibility service. The e-Eligibility service performs the search and returns the results to the provider’s software. The query and results are encrypted when exchanged over the internet. The developer of the software has total control over how the query build process and the results are presented in the software used by the provider.
